Each day I check to see that you are still here. And I say a little prayer for all of you. The world can be decent. It is my dearest hope that decency prevails and greed and evil fail. Life can be so much better than what some powerful players bring to the table of humanity. Thank you for writing. I am sure there are hundreds and hundreds of us checking on you each day. Stay safe. Be well.
You make your struggle against the oppression of your people more real for me. Coming to know you from your hopes and defiance and words makes me understand it on a different level. I donβt have to imagine what itβs like. I feel close to all oppressed all over because you share. Thank you.
The word influencer gets stuck in my mouth too. It conjures a kind of gloss Iβve never known how to wear. But youβwhat you doβfeels like the very opposite. Youβre not selling a story. Youβre carrying one. Carefully. With both hands. Through a time, & a country, that should never have to be explained this way.
You write with the kind of clarity that doesnβt seek applauseβonly attention. Not for yourself, but for what matters. Thatβs not branding. Thatβs bearing witness.
So if youβre influencing anything, itβs this: a return to humanity. To presence. To the kind of tenderness that doesnβt trend. What you offer isnβt just informationβitβs proof. That a life written honestly, even in fragments, can cross oceans. And land.
Thank you for letting us sit beside you as you write through the fire.
Thereβs something deeply moving about knowing where weβre all reading from. Iβm in Australia, born to immigrant families, & I went to school with many Ukrainian-born childrenβnames that still feel like home when I speak of them.
It heartens me to see voices like yours holding space for Viktor, & stories like his crossing borders in such human ways. We may be scattered, but the thread is strong.
Yes, Kim, it is deeply moving. And now more than ever we need, we crave, connection. Viktorβs words bring out the beauty in all of us. Iβm in New York city.
A pleasure to make your acquaintance here, if only under much kinder circumstances. Australia & New York, drawn into quiet orbit by a man writing while his country is under siege. This isnβt just connectionβitβs solidarity. A constellation of strangers who recognise the weight of whatβs being shared & choose to stand witness. To say, this matters.
Kim expresses eloquently what so many of us feel. We all check on you daily, pray for you and all of Ukraine daily, and spread the word through our restacks. Your words and your heart are so needed to let the rest of the world see and feel what is going on in Ukraine. It calls us to action. Thank you for sharing, Victor. It means so much. You are not alone.
Iβm old and donβt consider excellent writers to be influencers as much as skilled and honest story tellers. If a title is helpful then itβs worth using it, but you are a wonderful writer and are doing a great service to Ukraine and those that care about your country. πΊπ¦
Yes, what you write has influenced me: reading of your struggles, real life in Ukraine, making the huge emotional effort that you do everday, sharing your heart with us. You are an 'influencer' in the true sense of the word.
Yes, please donβt take influencer in the wrong way. I think you are a voice that people need to hear. A voice to better understand your world. A voice that seems less the sound of media or politics or propaganda but of people trying to live life and survive in terrible circumstances. We, your listeners, are influenced by your writing. You open our eyes and our hearts. We wish we could change the world to a better place, where you and all of your people as well as all of us could just live in peace and harmony and enjoy Gods blessings, without fear, pain, loss and suffering.
Stay strong, we send you our love and wish it was more.
I always read your posts and love to be able to share your writings with a wider audience. Even on other platforms. It is important information and a persecutive that YOU offer US we NEED to learn.
Look what youβve created, Viktor. A community of people from all over the world, a place where the comfort we find in your strength and goodness helps us to feel love and hope.
I think of you as a storyteller. You tell us of the horrors of war. You tell us of the strength of your country and leader. You remind us this can happen to any of us. You survive under harsh conditions. You are a storyteller. A keeper of history.
Viktor, your courage in the face of such horror and adversity inspires others to persevere also in the face of whatever adversity they are facing. Please don't stop writing. We all look for you every day, and send our love and support to you and your country. In the end, only love matters, and will prevail.
I don't think of you as an influencer. In my mind you are an educator, a storyteller. Because of you, Ukraine will not be forgotten. Your people will not be forgotten. You will not be forgotten. As we older folks from our era and upbringing say, 'Let it not be forgotten.' Because of you, it will not. I wish I could throw a few coins your way. Unfortunately I am not in a position to do so. We have a lovely Ukranian Church near us. I help by purchasing goodies when they they have a fundraiser to support Ukraine. It's all I can do. May g-d keep you in the palm of his hands.
Please don't stop being an "influencer'. I am looking for your writings every, just to make sure you are still writing, aa i am sure there are many hundreds of us checking on you daily. Be safe. Slava Ukrain.
Back when I was raising teenagers, we worried about them spending time with kids who were a bad influence. Preferred those who were a good influence. Simpler times! Your writing is definitely a good influence on your readers.
We love and appreciate the Man sharing from his heart and soul as you do with us Viktor. You give us pause to contemplate and feel your every word. You influence us to be kind, humble, honest and caring. I am so glad that many have found you as I have. Your posts are worthy of being noticed and shared! Thank you! π ποΈπ

We are here. We care. We need to know. We are partners in seeking to keep our countries from falling into an authoritarian mess.
Yes! I too, check every sat and am grateful Viktor is still here!
You are a voice that many people depend on. Donβt stop.

One good thing to say about the Internet -- well, one of two:
It lets us meet people we never otherwise would have, no matter how far flung;
Once on the Internet, always on the Internet. Your words are now out in the Aether, Viktor, and they'll never go away. :)
