Putin=Trump=Hitler. Ukraine should be part of Europe and the whole world should support you. This is an evil that spreads like cancer. Kill it now.

That's our mission, that's our fight. And full membership in the European Union wouldn't be just a symbolic move: Russia would never dare to do to a member nation of the European Union what they are doing to us.

Never apologize for speaking the truth! Harsh realities deserve harsh words. People in Ukraine are literally dyingβ€”perhaps even as I write this comment! The world needs the do the RIGHT THING RIGHT NOW! Keep writing and keep using appropriate languageβ€”meaning language that describes accurately what is happening!! Sugar coating our words enables the perpetrators and their enablers! Never give up, Viktor! You are a gem!

Dear Brandi, your comments are always so kind, thanks so much. You know, I'm excessively worried about the tone of these texts because words can always be misunderstood and taken with a different meaning than we initially thought for them. This is always a risk we take every time we send even a short message, imagine a long text like this one (and my texts are gradually getting longer, I'm starting to worry about that.) Little by little, I'm removing what blocks me from expressing my thoughts "free as a bird." After all, everything we talk about here is about freedom in the end. And there's no greater truth than the ones inside us, at the same time there's no problem if it doesn't please one or another!! πŸ’™πŸ’›

Viktor, we understand your emotions. There's no need to apologize. As an American, I feel as if I should be apologizing to you for my country turning its back on you. πŸ˜”

Gregg, I too am an American and wonder if or how the world will ever forgive us (even those of us who didn’t vote for Trump).

Viktor, I so appreciate your conscientiousnessβ€οΈπŸ™πŸ». It’s funny because after I responded to you, I worried that my response may have sounded harsh. There is so much harm going on in the world and those of us who don’t want to add to this harm must do what we can to stay grounded in our bodies and connected to our hearts. This is much easier said than done when the tornadoes of trauma threaten to rip us away from our coreβ€”the place inside of us that has access to the truth and is rooted in love. It’s an ongoing challenge to speak, write, and act from the place that is one with the source of all that is good, true, and beautiful. I sense that you write from this place. Even anger, when spoken or written from this connected place, has a clarifying rather than a harmful impact when the listener and reader is also coming from a connected place.

What is going on in Ukraine is unimaginable and horrendous. I don’t understand why the world isn’t doing the right thing right now to defend and protect this beautiful country. I don’t think there is any pretty way of describing the ugliness of what is happening thereβ€”unless of course you are writing about the courage, resilience, bravery, and goodness of the Ukrainian people. It’s ok if your messages are getting longer. You are worth being heard and your words are worth being read. Now my text is getting too long! Slava Ukraine πŸ’›πŸ’™πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦!

Viktor, I’m sorry to ask this question twice, but I’m trying to figure out if someone is using your name to try to scam me or if this was really you. Someone asked me to download an app called telegram. This person said he was you, but he didn’t sound like you. Can you let me know? Thank you.

Don't give up; keep making those powerful drones and hitting Putin where it hurts. Many of the people I listen to who study Russia say he's on the ropes now; he's weak and worried. Be a persistent mosquito and give him a case of malaria until his people rise up against him. It's happened before and when it does, it happens suddenly and quickly.

I’m so glad to see someone tell the truth about this war. Wouldn’t it be nice if Democrats would go to the floor of the House and Senate and say these things?

The truth must be said, always, regardless of anything. And this matter of the European Union is so choked in my throat that I needed to be extra careful with my words here. But again, my commitment is also not to lose my temper. Maybe this fear of losing my temper is what fundamentally prevents me from being a politician someday!!! πŸ’™πŸ’›

How about the Grifters On Parade (GOP)? Dems *have* said those things; it's the other party who holds the power and keeps supporting King Tyrant, sides with Putin, and disrespects Zelenskyy.

Viktor, you say "End the hypocrisy. Welcome Ukraine as a full member." and I say YES YES YES YES!

My plea to our European leaders, we must emphatically stand alongside Ukraine until this madness ends, and then with no delay we must absolutely WELCOME your proud country as one of our community.

It is extremely important, as Ukraine stands in the most strategic position between Russian aggression and European safety. I agree that the EU must act decisively now! There is no time to waste. Coming from Hong Kong, I understand how it feels to witness the process of being "swallowed" by authoritarianism. Just as you mentioned, the dilution of the culture, language, population, etc. were the first steps. They are all part of the playbook used by dictators. Unfortunately, in the case of Hong Kong, no one came to its aid. Nobody stood up for it. It's a huge tragedy to my people. But Hong Kongers stand with Ukraine, because we fully understand what it means to be bullied by an aggressor with no regard for human lives, let alone your national identity. Stay strong! I send you my moral support! πŸ’™πŸ’›

If history teaches us anything, it's this: Russia does not make peace. Russia waits. Russia infiltrates. Russia strikes. Russia destroys. Russia betrays. Russia seeds chaos.

Ukraine, like the US is living a horrible time. Your update is so compelling and I hope your plea is acted upon.

Using your words for the US and Trump: Trump does not make peace. Trump waited [to be reelected]. Trump infiltrates [all of our governmental departments and tears them down]. Trump destroys. Trump betrays [the 71 million who voted for him and the majority of Americans who didn't vote for him]. Trump betrays [Ukraine, Canada, Panama, Greenland, Europe]. Trump seeds chaos.

Is it the EU or NATO with the bogus bullshit that a country can't be at war to be admitted? Ukraine isn't at war! This is Putin's genocide, finishing the work that Stalin started. Again UKRAINE IS NOT AT WAR. Ukraine is fighting for its life. I hope Europe is prepared if Russia is successful. I don't think they are. Too much dithering and debating while the world burns. Reminds me of the other world wars where America sat and watched then entered late in the game. America is so sick even we need the EU to act as fast as in NOW. There is NO time to debate ACT NOW! We Americans now have a thug as a leader, we may correct course in four long years but Ukraine and the EU may not be as they are by then. It's up to the EU to step up and support with all and more that you have.

Victor, from a Canadian with progressive maternal Ukrainian grandparents, I salute you and the courageous spirit of your legendary warriors and citizenry. I am proud, and my deceased parents and all my grandparents would be so proud of the Ukrainian representation of patriotism in the face of terror. Tales of Ukraine's struggle will cut through generations. It has forever been time for Europe to include Ukraine. Without Ukraine, Europe loses its state of being total and complete ... Europe is deficient without Ukraine.

The whole of Ukraine should be declared a member of the EU up to its internationally recognised borders before the 2014 invasion. The Kremlin did it without occupying all the areas claimed so what is to stop the EU doing the same? The old reputation of corruption has been sharply reduced and is better than, say, Hungary and USA. The consortium of the willing can close the sky's and cut off road and rail links after giving Russia say, three months to vacate. The USA should back that and stop flirting with the war criminal Putin who would soon be politically finished.

Your words are strong and true. It’s past time for polite talk. Everyone in the world needs to hear the truth. The safety of all depends on your existence. You need to be able to grow and prosper . That will help all of us. I’m an American but the bones of my ancestors are buried in Ukraine and Poland.
