Profoundly beautiful. βœ¨πŸ’―βœ¨ Thank you so much for sharing this! Recently, I have found myself repeating Samwise telling Frodo, "There's still good in this world and it's worth fighting for." Love is life and they will not win.

Dearest Viktor,

If you are anything like my husband, I know how much it hurts to hear your beloved wife cry. He and I have been there many times. But I want you to know that it’s sharing the sorrow that comes will ultimately strengthen your bond and reinforce all you feel in your hearts for each other. My husband is in Ukraine, his family members and our daughter spread across Europe while I am here in the US. I now know what separation in war feels like and sometimes I wish Americans who are unfamiliar could know and feel the hurt of it. Maybe fewer would have fallen for Trump and Putin’s lies and abject cruelty. But take heart in the fact that you are absolutely right. Love will win out. You and your wife will be reunited. Perhaps in a different space, but never, ever forget that until then, the power of your love will keep you two whole. Lean on that, believe in what you have. For this time, just survive so that when the day comes, you will be bathed in joy and ready to thrive as you so richly deserve!

Your writing is very inspiring. What you say about love is so true and I'm so sorry for what your country is going through and I understand why your wife and you and I'm sure all the Ukraine πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ families are worried. The Ukrainian people are an inspiration to the world, and I know they will never give up the fight. I wish I could promise you that America would always be a friend, but unfortunately, I'm just one citizen and I certainly did not vote for "he whose name shall not be spoken".

You knocked it out of the park. As one of the other comments above said, β€œProfoundly beautiful”.

For readers like me β€” it has been a profound experience to watch you daily find, refind , strengthen, and hone your voice to speak not just for yourself, but for others who can not speak.

Thank you for all you have written in the last year. It gives me, and I am sure many others, hope.

I wish I could wrap my arms around you. You are loved more than you know. We are one, we people, we ordinary folk; made of the same stardust, walking under the same stars. I pray for us; I pray for my country, and I pray for yours. Most of all, I pray for peace and justice. Be well, be strong, and know one day we will all be free.

✨I don’t know where I’d be (on the inside) if not for the people I’ve lovedβ€” and that have loved me.

We’ve never met a whole bunch of Ukrainians and… we love them, big and small. It is heartbreaking to read about the invasion, and we hope the injustice ceases immediately.

We all feel your pain. We hold you and hug you and hope you and we can get through this. Every day feels like we’re waiting for the next horrible thing to happen and feel helpless. I’m just waiting for the moment when I have to fight. Cause I will

Thank you, Victor, for an excellent article. You are an amazing man. Your heartfelt words about love are so true. The orange tyrant that "rules" the US right now will never know love because he can only worship himself. He is a lost human being who will die that way. Sometimes....to keep from the toxic energy of hatred, I try to imagine how terrible it must be to be him. A person who hates and dictates ruthlessly without any consideration for others. The pumpkin does not have any compassion. Millions of people around the world hate him and everything he stands for.

Please tell your wife not to watch him. I cannot watch his ugliness......it makes me sick.

Know that dictators, whether β€œelected” or not, never survive and leave only ugliness behind. But the world forgets the true courage and incredible resilience of the Ukrainian people. You learned your lessons under both Hitler and Stalin and know the only choice is to fight. Americans respect bravery and no one is braver than the Ukrainian people.

πŸ’™πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦πŸ’™ I can’t imagine the pain you felt as your wife cried and you couldn’t hold her, and I cried upon thinking of all of people of Ukraine who would never be with loved ones again, those who couldn’t be with their loved ones and didn’t know when or if they would be again. πŸ’™πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦πŸ’™

Thankyou as always Viktor for your tragically moving words. Yet in those words Hope & Love still survives even through years of separation lonliness & danger. You show us the Courage & Faith that represents the Great Nation of Ukraine in every post. Again, Thankyou.
