This brought tears to my eyes. I will always talk about Ukraine and think about it. I’m only a lone American but I’m here for you.

I am 67 and a lifelong citizen of the USA. I hope with all my soul that the Trump regime will renew our commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and independence. Unfortunately, I fear for our own country just as much The vast majority of our population is solidly behind you. I apologize for the 1/3rd of the population that believes in fear and loathing as a political platform. Know that the kind and compassionate majority has got your back. Ukraine πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ will prevail!

I check daily to read about the war. I honour my family in this way. My Grandparents were from Ukraine. I donate when I can to help. Ukraine should not give up one inch of their land. I believe the west has to help this country. History has proven Russia a terrorist country.

Viktor, your words brought me to tears today. My friend, you have a whole family whom you’ve never met or know the names of but here, we are your family. We will never turn away or stop talking about Ukraine. So many of us feel helpless for what’s happening but I hope you know even from miles and miles away in the states, across the ocean, you have us to lean on.

Despite the agonizing March towards autocracy in our country by faithless MAGA,(read Nazi), so-called leadership, the overwhelming majority of Americans support Ukraine and freedom loving nations throughout the world.

I grew up in Postwar Germany shortly after WWII. I played in the rubble that the autocrats visited upon my country and other countries around the world. We picked ourselves up from the ashes and vowed to resist such a calamity again.

Have faith, we the people of this country have your backs despite the feckless pretenders causing such chaos. Right will prevail. God bless the Ukranian people and the work you are doing.

As the US aligns itself with Russia and destroys free speech and democracy for its citizens, our fight and your fight have truly become the same. Putin has brought his war on democracy to our doorstep, by manipulating our weak, insecure, and sociopathic president Trump to bend to his will, and by interfering in our elections. As we do our part in resisting his regime here, we hope that it has positive impact for our friends in Ukraine. We will always stand for democracy and independence everywhere if it’s the last thing we do.

πŸŒ»πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦πŸŒ»πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦Thank you for continuing to write. I rage at the slowness of Biden and Scholz. I feel furious with this fascist regime in the U.S....a demented fool at the top only wanting revenge and a totally power mad Musk with his fingers in finances in russia and china. Ukrainians and all the peoples of the world must stand together in solidarity if we are to build a world for a future with freedom, opportunity, and peace for everyone. That makes getting control of the minority pulling the strings...the oligarchs of the world.

I make every russian in Canada whom I teach feel guilty of the crimes in Ukraine. They resent it and complain to my superiors at work but I have taken a side, Ukraine’s side. Truth and justice will eventually prevail and evil will be vanquished. Ukraine will win and become stronger.

Your Ukraine is always on my mind. Even during these dark times when-you-know-who sucks all the air out of the atmosphere, I think of you and yours, and fresh air fills my soul. Please know that many, many Americans stand with you!
