I hope so Viktor, I really hope so. I see though that humans are outlandish creatures capable of great care and love, but also of the most horrible destruction. I’m so sorry about the nightmare Russia is inflicting on you all. You are so wise knowing that loving each other is the best you can do. Kia kaha Victor. - NZ Māori meaning β€˜Stand Tall’

Thank you so much for you message, dear friend. Life plays the opposite game in the most unexpected times and nothing like a war to understand that we would never be living in civilization if there's something else other than this evil we face every day in Ukraine. Love is not only a spiritual state of mind that guide us to virtue, but also a logical conclusion about our very existence. All my love for the wonderful New Zealand, I hope to visit Aoearoa someday!

Viktor! I am now reading reports that air raid sirens are going off over all the lands east of the Dnipro:

"Up to 15 Russian Tu-95 strategic bombers are on their way to launch points. Russia could be about to launch the largest cruise missile strike since the start of the war."

Oh, Viktor! Please, please stay safe! It's 7pm here in Austin, Texas.

I will light a candle for you and for all Ukrainians as soon as I post this.

When I read your essays, Viktor, I don't know what to say. I am sitting comfortably in my living room in Austin, Texas. I don't have to worry about missiles being shot at my house or my city. My house is quiet. Every day, sometimes several times, I check to see what's going on in Ukraine. Take the very best care of yourself, dear Viktor. You and your fellow Ukrainians are always in my heart.
