I will never advise you or any Ukrainian to desire less and endure more, Viktor. Your country deserves to have every bit of its territory returned to it, every stolen child returned to his or her parents and family. I pray for you every day.

Don’t listen to them Victor, everyone who is missing is important.

No compromise should be part of the peace agreement.

Ukrainian bled to protect and recover every square centimeter.

Those who would argue differently, have not ever given up anything of value to them in their life.

All the fake US negotiators need to get the hell out of the way.

I stand for all of you Viktor.

I'm an American. I think at least 80% agree that our President is an ignorant psychopath and fired anyone that is competent. I am embarrassed by my country.

Your gracious re-telling of reading those two sentences humbles me as someone outside of those two sentences. And it also makes me angry. Seeing daily reports from trusted journalists on the ground, here on this platform in lieu of any other media, it is a visceral reality that real people shed real blood, lose real homes, watch as neighborhoods are decimated, bow heads over countless memorials, quake in Metro stations through bombardments... Every inch of land has been sanctified by the pain and destruction of the last 1600+ days of this war. No one gets to tell Ukraine to concede those inches and move on. Grace is given - grace is received - grace is returned to your determined heart πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦β™₯️

Easy for those who don’t have a clue to make a comment that should not have left their mouth. Your country and its people should not have to settle for anything less than what they deserve. Slava Ukraini! πŸ’™πŸ’›

I don’t know what to say. My heart πŸ’”aches for your country. Your country should never have been invaded. Greed and power are the evil that seems to be what drives everything these days. Never give in or give up. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦β€οΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Exactly, Viktor. People that arrogantly and ignorantly impose their opinions or advice on Ukraine, have no business doing so. If it was their country invaded, their home blown up, their children stolen, their brothers killed in war, they would be singing an entirely different tune. Russia is in the wrong here. Russia needs to leave Ukraine. Russia needs to give back the stolen children. Russia needs to pay for reparations to Ukraine. Putin and his sycophants need to be arrested and tried for war crimes. Period. Full stop. LONG LIVE UKRAINE, ALL OF UKRAINE, EVERY SQUARE INCH OF UKRAINE. ❀️ πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦

Ah Victor and Ukraine. Your words are like knives into my soul. Canada has an Arctic world between our home and Russia. Once we thought far seeing radar would give warning It isn't enough now.

War has changed. Your enemy has not. He is delusional. He will not stop.

If you ask how many Canadian children we will sacrifice, we will not. Ukraine will not. Your land is blood soaked, Ukrainian blood and generations. Of course you will not trade with a monster. You surely will not trade for promises already broken.

I heard today that the enemy loses 1,000 soldiers every day. What kind of a czar sacrifices like that? He buys lives from Africa, from North Korea. Will concessions stop him?

Two reasons are your foundation -you will not barter Ukrainian lives with a monster. How could you. In what nightmare does Ukraine sell its people for the words of a liar,?

Western governments will not negotiate with kidnappers, it will only encourage them. It is the same with the enemy.

Ukraine must defeat the enemy. The free world must read their own history and rise up with you.

Slava Ukraini!

It's a disgusting suggestion, Viktor, and I'm sorry it was said. This situation makes me want to tear my hair out. I haven't understood from the first day how this can be happening while the rest of us just sit and watch. Man, the evil, ugly ones really knew how to coordinate this timing so they could work together to terrorize and murder innocent, beautiful people. Please hold on. And know that we don't want a compromise. We want you all safe and peaceful. We love you πŸ’œ

Advising Ukrainians to accept the partition of their country under the guise of 'realism' is not pragmatism; it is the outsourcing of moral courage.

True realism recognizes that rewarding a violent breach of international law never buys lasting peaceβ€”it only subsidizes future aggression. Ukraine is a sovereign nation, not a geopolitical bargaining chip, and the decision of how to defend its territory, its citizens, and its future belongs solely to the Ukrainian people.

Your country must be freed of the invaders. No other people would be happy giving up part of itself. They should never have been allowed to have Crimea to begin with . Did no one learn from Neville chamberlain?

I hope and pray for the day when no one asks Ukrainians to question their borders, when all your children are returned home, and when you can sleep peacefully at night.

I often find myself questioning the agenda of someone’s input, especially on serious topics. Nothing more serious than war and loss at scale. I always gauge this before I hear what they say. To decide how or if I should hear their message.

No one but Ukraine decides anything or has the right to decide anything.

Sometimes someone has good intentions but their messages are inadequate and inappropriate.

An example would be when someone has had serious loss and is grieving. Two weeks after the immediate loss a neighbor asks if you are better. As if you had a tiny cold and got over it.

Clueless but somewhat harmless.

Or the person who tells you ALL the reasons you shouldn’t start a business.

Weighing options is important it’s a big decision but often I find it’s their own fears clouding their words. Fears that held them back from taking risks or having an adventure. And they impose those on your situation as if they are the same. It’s called projection in psychology.

Sometimes they have bad intentions and are messing with our minds.

The psychology of war is real and very important to recognize. Much of a battle is psychological. It is also so in regular life.

I don’t know what the intention is of the person who wrote you. I do know that no one. NO ONE has the right to question what is Ukraine. Or what should be Ukraine. And your precious children must be returned and severe war crimes charged and punished against those who took them.

Every child. Every single beautiful child must be brought home.

Ukraine has done what few countries have done. Beaten back Russia. Pushed the war to Russian soil and caused severe damage. You are incredible and Ukraine MUST triumph. The West will do everything to ensure that.

Try not to give this person any mental energy or your focus. You have enough to deal with.

Rest easy Viktor.

Here’s realism for you. The whole world chose to look away when Russia stole Crimea. That was a sin. Now the reality is that Ukraine is all that stands between Russia and Europe. Yes, you are fighting for your children, for your dead, for your history and your future but you are also fighting for all of us. Thank you. Slava Ukraini!

Russia must get nothing from this war and should bear the cost of rebuilding what they destroyed (good luck collecting that!) Ukraine did nothing to warrant this war, and I think they are winning it. Putin is behaving like a cornered rat, and someone who suggests he should get anything out of a peace treaty is in that corner with him. Pay no attention to these voices - they are just trying to manipulate you. Slava Ukraini!

AKRebel's avatar

I believe that all of the frozen russian assets should go to Ukraine for rebuilding and reparations for the massive destruction and death and terror they continue to rain down on Ukraine. Ukraine also deserves justice in the world court for the constant war crimes russia continues to commit against them.
