Your apologies really touch me because it's incredibly strange that we are living in a time where we feel the need to apologize as a nation, even when we completely oppose the decisions our governments choose to make. It moves me deeply deeply when I see some of the most generous people in the world expressing sorrow for choices that go completely against their values and what they believe is right for our civilization. So at the same time I understand that your apologies are not necessary because you personally stand for Ukraine and all the values we hold dear, I accept them. Because it speaks more for you personally and your nation in historic terms, than simply the actual state of politics there. Even though we may not agree with our governments, we are still part of the society we live in, and the mere act of offering apologies is something more than honorable: it’s an undertstanding that we are part of a collective that we may not always agree with, but we will always fight to prevent horror and madness from taking over (sorry if the idea was messy, but I think you get it!!). 💙🇺🇦🇺🇸

I echo that apology. Seeing the arrogance of trump (I refuse to give him the title of President) flaunting his self-propelled messiah complex, still makes my stomach churn. The audacity and stupidity in that entire room, aimed at President Zelenskyy…. I am ashamed to be an American under his administration. I grieve for the people of Ukraine. I remember seeing a news clip , early-on, after the attacks. In my memory, it was an elderly woman, handing sunflower seeds to a Russian soldier. She said, “Put these in your pockets, so that when you die on our soil, sunflowers will mark your grave.”
I have probably (inadvertently) altered the details, but her sentiment struck deep within me. It was as foreboding as a curse and as beautiful as a promise.

The majority of Americans stand with Ukraine. Every protest I will go to and be a part of has several Ukrainian flags and people proud to say that we stand with Ukraine! Will be also protesting on April 5th, this horrific takeover of America that we didn’t have appropriate guardrails to prevent. President Biden showed the deserved respect for your courageous President and cared deeply for your brave people. Absolutely! There are thousands of groups large and small taking to the streets and Ukraine will be remembered by many. I am in a rural area in deep red Trump country but a town not far from here will be where I will protest. We and Ukraine must be heard!

I too will never forget; that disgraceful ambush in the oval office made my blood boil, and it's still boiling. Zelenskyy is a real man of courage and intelligence and most Americans know this beyond any doubt; I've seen many protests, including a sign that read: Zelenskyy is 10X the man Trump is.
Viktor, can you recommend to us a reliable, accurate source of YouTube reports/videos on the war? I saw one recently stating that Ukraine hit critical targets in Crimea and the families of top Russian military brass are evacuating back to Russia. Today I saw that a major bridge on Russian soil had been destroyed. These reports give me hope, but I don't see anything about it on our mainstream corporate news.
Everyone who cheered for Trump has shown that they have not learned from history. I am guessing when those people watch later movies about World War 2 they do not realize how close they become to be the Nazis their ancestors fought in that time.

I too will never forget; that disgraceful ambush in the oval office made my blood boil, and it's still boiling. Zelenskyy is a real man of courage and intelligence and most Americans know this beyond any doubt; I've seen many protests, including a sign that read: Zelenskyy is 10X the man Trump is.
Viktor, can you recommend to us a reliable, accurate source of YouTube reports/videos on the war? I saw one recently stating that Ukraine hit critical targets in Crimea and the families of top Russian military brass are evacuating back to Russia. Today I saw that a major bridge on Russian soil had been destroyed. These reports give me hope, but I don't see anything about it on our mainstream corporate news.

Everyone who cheered for Trump has shown that they have not learned from history. I am guessing when those people watch later movies about World War 2 they do not realize how close they become to be the Nazis their ancestors fought in that time.

forget. I was repulsed and almost didn’t know what I was seeing. I got physically ill and immediately after I was seething. Anger overtook me and I watched it over again and again …trying to figure out what the hell was going on.
Now we know that we have a completely corrupt government …it has been made painfully clear. Now I see with clear eyes. We are in the fight of our lives, but I in no way compare it to yours.
I pray the European Union will get moving to give you the help you need. I apologize for the actions of my government.
They do not care about any of our needs,any more than yours…only their own.
