In Canada: a large piece of a mountain (the size of a highrise) in Banff national park broke off and fell and kill$ed two hikers, injuring more. One hiker with her dog ran to safety. Then what did she do? She turned around and went back to help the injured, knowing that the mountain side was unstable. People stayed to help. This is the humanity I want to cherish. When I hear of bombings, I know brave people are helping others and we will never know their stories. They are silent heroes. The real heroes. ❀️ from Canada.

In my heart I know there are more good people than bad. I want to believe in the goodness that exists in all of us and find it in my search for truth. Affirming the beauty we find in one another will save the world is my belief and mission.

This is making me cry. I haven’t been able to, too numb and traumatized. Happy tears! Thank you.

This moved me. I have some very elderly pets, and I’m going to sing that beautiful song, for Peldyn, for

me and for my old fur family, when the time comes.

Thank you for posting this, and thanks to Peldyn, who knew before I did.

Every morning, I sing You Are My Sunshine to my two 13-year-old dogs. I’m going to add Here Comes The Sun to their daily concert.

UPDATE: I tried to singing Here Comes The Sun a cappella. What a mess - pulled The Beatles version up on YouTube and played it for them.

Viktor, I think of you so often. I often mention you to someone I know and trust. I pray for you and your country, especially at night. I thank you, a thousand times, for writing what is on your heart and mind. I am so grateful that you do this. And I am bewildered and astonished and amazed at the soul, your soul, which communicates so deeply in what you say here. Taking the time to uplift others, when you don't have to, while being in the midst of your country's situation right now. This is such an unselfish thing to do. It is so unique and rare. I just read your post and I almost cried. You touch people! While you are in the midst of dark, you find light! And you share all of it, the dark and the light. From your heart. From your soul. I feel that we, as citizens of the world, need to be helping our allies, our friends, like you and your country. This is very important! We need to work together and help each other. This is my hope. This is my prayer. And I pray that you and the Ukraine find peace again, hope again, and healing. I apologize for the inaction of the fool that is running our country, here in the U.S. I support you! And so do many others, Viktor. Never forget this! Keep hope in your heart. Imagine all the prayers of people here who care about you, who are rooting for you and the Ukraine. Hold the light of these prayers in your heart. God bless you, Viktor. And may God bless the Ukraine!

Thank you, Viktor, thank you. You aren’t alone. We’re all in this together, in spirit at least. Trump will be ousted. America will help you again, once the cancer in our government is abolished. Keep up your good work.

Viktor, you truly have a gift with words. You touched my heart again. You've taught me so much about survival and perseverance in the face of enormous challenge. Know that many across this world care and pray for a justice peace soon for Ukraine.

Beautifully written.

I have spent the past 3 years using my leisure time, my quiet moments, looking at the sky on sunny days.

I have been constantly thinking of Ukraine and feeling, in my heart and soul, prayers for peace for your beautiful country. As I watch the sun rise on my back porch and set on my front porch, I know that Canada may someday face from the felon what Ukraine faces from the war criminal… but for now, I use the bright sun and blue sky to send prayers to my friends in Ukraine.πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦

This article was so poignant! And I loved being able to listen to the song while reading it. Thank you for fighting for freedom and keeping the faith even when it’s hard. We see you and we appreciate what you are your fellow country men and women are doing for democracy in Ukraine and around the world!

Well said Viktor. Such inspirational words. When ever I feel nervous, I always tell myself 'it's okay, you got this' sometimes I hug myself while saying this. It's a little thing but it gets me though the rough parts. May God smile on you this day Viktor. I always look forward to hearing from you.

As another comment said, I needed this today. My problems are nothing compared to what you are facing, but for me they are real and discouraging. But β€œHere Comes the Sun (Son).” That reminder, the reminder that there is always joy, that through the darkness shines a small ray of light, lifts my soul. Thank you.
