I appreciate this so much, even several states away from California. It's an incredibly sad state of affairs that someone in a war-ravaged country is offering *us* support.
Viktor, I would like to respectfully suggest that you DO send this out via email. Even when I can't get to other writers' emails because I don't have the time or can't deal with more of the same infuriating news, I always read yours--and I bet I'm not the only one of your followers who does. More people need to see this than whoever just happens to come across it in their feed (or whatever Substack calls it).
Thank you for continuing to be a light for ALL of us in the midst of such terrible darkness.
You are absolutely right, it should be sent as an email. Understanding perspective is so important and the only way we can have it is for someone like Viktor to put it in context.
5 states are being flooded with national guard. It is only a matter of time until it is more. Then more marines. Will these Americans turn on Americans?
Thank you, Viktor, from San Diego, CA. You encourage us with your words, your sacrifice, your courage, and by continuing to look for good and love in the world even when everything else goes dark. Thank you for being a light in the world, and thank you for helping California stand tall for freedom. Slava Ukraini.πΊπΈπΊπ¦
What a generous and beautiful thing to say and to share. I'm not from California, but as someone from another blue state, I stand with L.A. And I think of Ukraine nearly every day. ππ
Like you said in your beautiful post on April 6, Viktor, our hands hold tight together. Thank you for seeing us here in California in the midst of everything you are going through. You give me courage to stand and help stop what's happening and create something better, more just, on the other side of this multi-pronged attack on our democracy.
Victor-you are so fabulous βοΈyou help me to feel and to see I still have my humanity!!! Even though I live north of Los Angeles now, I grew up in a suburb of Los Angeles and know the area where the protests are and my heart hurts for the people and the area!! Thank you for your kind words π€
Victor you are a man with a huge and beautiful heart! If only a time would come for all is us to meet! In a perfect world that would be my dream to meet such amazing people full of greatness and love and honor and kindness! Thank you for all you write and you are a writer!!!πππ»ππ»ππ»πππ€π»πΊπ¦πΊπ¦πΊπ¦πΊπ¦
