Yes! Absolutely. It's appalling that Ukraine is not. This is why countries need to stand together.

Dear friend, Putin NEVER intended to come. Like Trump, he only lies. The moral lapse is Putin’s alone.

And Trump's. He has no morals and is happy to boast that he doesn't in his actions, which are open to the public. Just look at how Donny blames Ukraine for starting the war.

Really? How can you stand with them? They need military help on a major scale which trump refuses to give. Please stay safe? Exactly how?

MOST of the USA stands with Ukraine. Unfortunately, it is the cruel minority who are currently pulling the levers. We have our own house to clean up before we can meaningfully offer aid. And that groundswell of change is beginning to take shape. Once it does, the USA will be on a stronger footing on the world stage.

I guess you can't chew gum and walk at the same time?

If we wait for our clean up, Ukraine will be gone, because we were too late.

I’m not sure I understand the vitriol. The comments here are in support of a man that is losing hope and quite possibly his country and freedom. You seem to have a problem with that. We understand that Ukraine is suffering, but it is because of the leadership (?) of our country turning to the dark side, not the people. Yes, we want the Ukrainians to stay safe. That is not hyperbole. We as a people care even if our government does not. It is not wrong to offer hope and care to someone who is obviously suffering. Try searching your soul for something a little more positive.

I don’t hear vitriol in Max’s words, I hear his agony of despair.

Ukraine is trapped in the bottom of a deep well, and we Americans are waving and calling cheerfully down that we love them, and we’re hoping the best for them.

Meanwhile, we stop sending what Ukraine needs to survive, saying β€œBe of good cheer! Come 2026 we may be able to help you, so please have faith and hold on until the midterms!”

But Max knows that there’s no way Ukraine can survive long enough down in that well the way things look now.

The despair and death are real.

Every day more perish.

So Max asks simply, β€œPlease stay safe? Exactly how?”

Open your heart to his earnest plea.

I hear no vitriol, only desperate yearning for survival that he realizes will come too late.

So were mine in support of Ukraine. Sorry, but I thought your comment to "stay safe" was insane to someone suffering so much in Ukraine. It was a tripe comment to someone suffering in WAR. As to my first sentence - the man I was responding to failed to understand USA could get our house in order AND help Ukraine. That's why I commented he couldn't chew gum and walk at the same tme. I can't help that you couldn't understand any of that.

Paradoxically, this is a win for Ukraine. His absence isolates him from trump. That embarrases trump and makes vance look foolish. It gives the EU drive to add sanctions. Ukraine must hold on; putin is struggling. Slava Ukraini.

Yes and because we know that Putin has killed/poisoned people, I was actually worried about the life of President Zelenskyy. But the day passed, President Zelenskyy lives and Ukraine survives. Slava Ukraini πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦

He's a bully and a coward, as are all bullies. I know you are at the end of your rope. Don't give up. Please don't give up. We hear you, we are listening, even as we fight with our own bully, here in a country that was supposed to be a shining city of democracy. No bombs, no murders (except for immigrants!) but we are fighting too. Lets get rid of the madmen. They are killing all of us. I'm so sorry...

I pray for you & the brave people of Ukraine. Today in the usa this old lady wears a shirt with the trident of Ukraine as its only decoration.

I pray Viktor that peace will come to Ukraine.

And that 1 day, you will visit a new, free usa.

Blessings, sir.

We hold your hope for you during times when you have not even the energy to hope.

Coming from an Eastern European regime ruled by Russia, all I've ever thought has been - there is no hope for Russia. It has been so entirely corrupted, there is no hope for its redemption. You're spot on, Viktor.

Cruelty is the point. The only power Putin really has is to be cruel and watch everyone squirm and suffer and die. He enjoys it. He enjoys the torture that he inflicts. He enjoys the fear he can instill. He enjoys dreaming of your sleepless nights. He enjoys the death and the destruction and the stealing of lives. He enjoys the power he has to give hope and pull it away. He is completely corrupted by evil. Don’t let his invasion of your land and skies and homes also invade your heart and mind. He is nothing. You and Ukraine are everything. Stay strong and never forget that millions are with you.

If Putin enjoys inflicting cruelty on and fear in others, no wonder Trump is drawn to and admires him. He yearns for that same absolute, unchecked power.

It breaks my heart what is happening to your beautiful country and courageous people. Please don't give up, Viktor. You have thousands and thousands of people who support YOU, not just your country. I understand the need to write down those words. To let people know the real pain and injustice. The need to vent so the feelings don't eat you alive. We care so much about you. We read your words every day. Please try not to lose faith. The world is on YOUR side!! May that bastard in Moscow rot in hell - soon!!
