I heard this first from Dash Dobrovsky here on Substack-my heart swelled and I said “the Ukrainians are coming” I sent his article to many friends and said “even in the middle of a war-the Ukrainian’s will help us!!! I am from the LA area and live in Central California now-my heart still aches ❤️🩹
The Ukrainian people are selfless in sending firefighters to help with fires here. Even amidst your nightmare and distress, your country is thinking of others. You are a people of great strength, fortitude and heart. My heart breaks for the misery all of you endure but encouraged by your courage and bravery. Thank you for thinking of us, as we pray for Ukraine.

I can't fathom what it must take to get them safely out of the country while you are in the middle of a war. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and I am nowhere near L.A.
I am so sorry that there is a man-child about to take over our country who doesn't give a damn about anyone else. Glad to see that it appears Putin isn't going to make it easy for this chump to "end the war in 24 hours," because we know that wouldn't be good for Ukraine. Here's hoping that you will continue to get help from the U.S. as well as Europe. I am ashamed of the man about to taint the White House again with his stench.
I grew up in LA and spent half of my life in California. I’m a California girl. Many old friends live in the city. I’ve followed the war closely every day. That Ukraine, in the midst of her struggle to stay alive, would send help to us, the big USA, just made me cry. I have gotten to know the beautiful spirit, sense of humor, and character of Ukrainians as I’ve followed the war. I hope the flames in both of our countries will go out soon and rebuilding can begin. ❤️💛💙
Your message to us Americans is very comforting and heartfelt. Thank you so much for all that you do. We keep you and Ukraine in our hearts and thoughts every minute of every day, I look forward to the day treat our conversations can all be done in a peaceful world. God bless and keep you safe.
