Trump and Vance do not belong in the same room with a courageous, honorable man like President Zelenskyy. Each day with Trump brings deeper shame to the US. Thank you for knowing that not all Americans are of the same low caliber (and low intelligence) of this orange coward.

Send them to Siberia with no heat and trumps cash. He can burn it for heat. That would kill him.

I watched in horror as frump and his sidekick berated the honorable President Zelenskyy. It seems that no one else saw or has mentioned that frump actually laid a hand on Zelenskyy shoving him in the arm during the bullying while shouting in his face. That’s the moment I started shouting back at the TV. I’m truly sickened to see that behavior in the Oval Office. I stand with Ukraine πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦

@Viktorkravchuk It is shocking and disgraceful that President Zelensky was subjected to that display of ignorance, disrespect and full-out alignment with a criminal invader, Putin. Your President during it and afterwards (including his interview on Fox News) displays true dignity and leadership that puts these stains on humanity to shame. Personally (if I may), please please do not give them the power to pull you into their darkness. So many of us watching were horrified and as you can see by the domestic and global reactions, you, the Ukrainian people and your country do not stand alone. Slava UkraineπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦

Cheryl you started this exactly how I feel. We will fight this together. There are many of us decent Americans. I still have hope the outrage will grow and we can kick that can down the road πŸ™ I never want to hear another MAGA tout Freedom nor Senate/house Republican unless they denounce this for what it was and start fighting back on our behalf.

Just north of you in Shoreline.

I tried to write to Trump but no address anymore. I got him once in January. I always write my senators and assemblymen but that is preaching to the choir. What Republicans should I write to to let them know they are responsible for Trump.

My House of Representatives rep is a Democrat (who supports Ukraine) and my two senators are staunch Republicans/Trumpsters in a red state. I wish contacting Congress would help, but it doesn’t feel like it would make any difference in my case. Any advice??

Thank you. We are horrified at Tr*mp and Vance's lies and mean-spirited attempts at ritual humiliation of Pres. Zelenskyy. They embarrassed themselves, showed their weakness, admiration for P*tin, and lack of understanding of the geopolitical situation. Zelenskyy showed uncommon grace in posting his (often repeated) gratitude for the American people's support.

President Zelensky was disrespected today in a manner that makes me ill, and I am fearful of what comes next. But I am so proud of him for not caving in to Trump, but standing his ground on behalf of his country. He did the world a favor today by letting Trump and Vance show everyone what dishonorable and despicable men they are. This press conference allowed us all to "cut to the chase" so to speak, because, let's face it, even if President Zelensky had groveled and fawned over Trump, Trump would still have betrayed him eventually. So we've just saved some time. The world needs to move on and adjust to the United States no longer being an ally, and in fact, being an enemy of democracy that cannot be trusted. This is not the future I envisioned for my "golden years" but this is where we are and I'm going to fight it every inch of the way.

So many of us are sick to our stomachs! Please let President Zelenskyy know that our hearts are broken to see this happen. But we knew Trump would lie or cheat or otherwise screw things up. Trump is a Russian asset and a horrible man. (No, I didn’t vote for him.) He was trying to impress Putin at everyone else’s expense, a horrible thing to do. We are all hoping the EU will step in to help Ukraine. It’s obvious our president, vice president, and congress are incapable of doing the right thing. Secretary of State Rubio is a tool, you can’t rely on him, either. Likewise, Lindsey Graham and the other Republicans. They have their marching orders, to destroy the US.

In my 73 years I have seen some shameful behavior by American leaders β€” all of which have been a blight on our imperfect democracy, and all of which have depleted us as a nation and failed the world β€” but the reprehensible, bullying, supercilious, disrespectful, ignorant, immature, inhumane, immoral, and unethical behavior of trump and vance today was a new low. I am so ashamed of these pathetic men who brandished their power to attempt to humiliate a war hero and a fighter for democracy (while they are raping and pillaging our democracy every day). The hypocrisy is mind boggling. I am so sorry, people of Ukraine and President Zelensky. You have suffered enough. This is not how most of us feel. We stand with you. πŸ”₯❀️

That "meeting" was a premeditated attack on the Ukrainian president and, by extension, the Ukrainian people. It was 2 cowards playing off of each other in a performance for the handpicked press and for Putin. I am truly sickened and embarrassed for my country. True Americans--the ones who have not lost their minds and souls to the trump cult -- support Ukraine and her people.

Your words and sentiments are clear, and the perspective of Trump as an ego-driven bully is one that so many of us agree with. President Zelensky is a hero to us as well, and I know that many of us hurt on behalf of your people. My colleague at a university in Texas, and his wife, also a professor, are both from Kyiv. He spent many, many hours in communication with people to arrange for his mother among others to escape - she is now with them. Through him I learned so much and have nothing but admiration and empathy for you and your compatriots. I know that Ukraine's history is one of great conflict, which make me better understand my own privilege. Americans must work to understand Ukraine and her people.

You have my respect.

The Ukrainian National Anthem says everything. All over the world, people are singing the Ukrainian National Anthem, even if we are not Ukrainian. In this world where traitor trump betrays the United States, a majority of Americans stand with Ukraine in its struggle to throw putin the hell out! I suggest a worldwide sing along of your anthem as a counter to the lies coming from putin and his lapdogs in the US, Hungary, and other places. We stand now, for and with Ukraine.
