Dear Christiana, your words remember me why I write, why I keep myself opening my heart here, and why I feel grateful for every article, for every idea I share here and for every manifestation of kindness so many of you send after each piece. Since the very beginning I thought about how I could bring some beauty even though writing in the middle of a war, in a country under so much pain, and it was also a way to express whatever beauty I still had inside my heart, also as a way to register this beauty that I wasn't sure if it would last for too long, because in times like these, we never know... The thoughts were a little confused here, but thanks for mentioning beauty, thanks for sharing your emotions, and I feel absoolutely honored with your words 💙

I actually think this piece is the most coherent piece of writing ever. It Carries the frequencies of you speaking from both your heart and your soul. It’s art and it’s truth in its rawest most beautiful form. And lastly it’s medicine. I’m actually showing it right now in great reference to it to others and discussing it. They were also blown away by it. You are a powerful voice. And showing us how you carry that with such tenacity and determination under incredible struggles snd refuse to stop seeing beauty takes a special kind of soul. I would by the way read any piece or book by you.

Thank you Ellen, while we have life, strength, thoughts, emotions, we will have hope. And if we see that Ukraine is still existing, if I am here writing these words, this is more than enoughh proof that hope exists, and it is worth fighting for! 💙

It is amazing to me that you can find enough hope to share with us, considering what you and your fellow Ukrainians have to live with every day. Thank you, Viktor.

I love your writing. The short sentence that someone once told me that stays with me is, “You are responsible for the effort, not the outcome.” If our world had more effort toward kindness, I’m hoping the outcome might be good.

When I read your words I find hope. I mean I’m in the UK and no one is bombing or invading my country yet I struggle to find hope. I’ve no, i am so lost in my grief that I cannot find hope, then your words fall into my email and I find some spark to continue. I wish I had answers that could bring people to your country. I want to one day walk down the streets where my stepmom’s ancestors once did. I want to see the Kiev that fell straight into my Dads heart. But most of all I want to know you are all safe from the tyrant. Yet your words they inspire, encourage and help me to hold on. Thank you x

Sometimes, it takes all the pain, suffering, and grief to strip away all of the nonessentials to reveal the strength and wisdom that stands left. Your grandmother was a very wise person.

Victor, I feel so privileged to hear the voice of your soul. No matter what you are thinking, feeling and experiencing. When you express all these things to us, it touches us. It touches me in ways that are very deep. You are a light, even in your darkest moments. Please don't forget that. You are a gift to your beloved country and to us as well. I don't remember how I found you, but I'm so grateful! Your words have opened my eyes and my mind to the realities of your country, your people. I think about you and your country so often! I am older and don't have much in terms of resources, but I'm so grateful for what I do have. And that gratitude has been strengthened by reading your words. Victor, you are an amazing human being who is already making a difference in so many ways. Never, no never, give up! You are my hero!
