When things go personal for a dictator
When a beast is resented, he usually goes personal and senseless.
By September of 2022, Ukraine had just crossed six months of war and we finally registerd significant gains in the front of battle. Strange places to most people abroad like Kharkiv, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia are now widely known by many, and that old joke that few people could point out Ukraine in a map will never be a reality anymore.
These are among our most important and populous regions, containing some of our biggest cities and have been liberated, or in process of liberation, from Russian occupation in these last days.
Certainly nothing happened overnight. Everything involved a massive employment of resources, intelligence, and expertise in a joint effort from all our partners from NATO and our territorial defense forces, resulting in those successful advances largely reported.
We had reached the middle of September in circumstances broadly favorable to Ukraine. Our soldiers were well equipped, motivated, registered huge progress, and counted on ample support from the world. Our enemies were the extreme opposite: morale had never been so low among their troops.
Was it time to "surrender and withdrawal" for Russia, in the words of our president? That would add a small grain of honor to Vladimir Putin by acting logically for the first time in months, however, the mind of that monster does not work in the terms we expect from sane people.
At a moment his military was accumulating retreats and losses, he decided to compensate his losses of territory by attacking the innocent civilian population. At that time, seven months ago from now, he selected the important industrial city of Kryvyi Rih, one of the largest cities of Ukraine and home of more than 600 thousand Ukrainians.
Kryvyi Rih means "Crooked Horn." There are several legends why it is called so, one says that a cossack lived there, called Horn, who could not walk quite straight. But he was so lovable that many travelers who passed by visited him.
Centuries later, one of its sons honored the tradition of bravery and loveliness from the old cossack. Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy was born there in 1978 and left the city to the benefit of his people and of the world. Recognized as an ultimate symbol of integrity in the fight against the ultimate symbol of bestiality.
Beasts often put vanity and arrogance in their actions. The beast Putin, of course, is extremely resented by the strong position of Zelenskyy today and knows he will never reach a fraction of it.
When a beast is resented, he usually goes personal, and his behavior loses any practical sense.
And so Putin decided to attack the hometown of our president in September 14th, 2022.
Hometown of our president. There's no other reason.
Monster.
Thank you for your essay. It is good to read and be informed about all aspects and points of view regarding Ukraine.
Putin is an empty shell. He has no real purpose, substance, or value. The vast majority of world leaders support Ukraine.
This monster has destroyed the lives of so many innocent people, not just in Ukraine, but in Syria and other parts of the world.
My prayer for 2023 is a decisive blow, striking at the heart of his evil plans, leaving him stunned and defeated.
Please excuse my anger.
