Thank you so much. The fact that you are here, with your care and attention already matters more than it seems, because it keeps this from disappearing. We are together and we feel that here ππ
I wish the fact that you I care about your country and you care about mine could get us somewhere beyond where we are. Unfortunately, your troubles were brought on by a madman who will never have enough of anything, but he is from another country. Our very similar madman is homegrown and doing this to his own people...although of course he doesn't see us that way; all he sees is himself and what he can get out of us.
I would love to see the war in your country end. It is ridiculous that it was ever started and absolutely bonkers that it's still going on over four years laters. I am so sorry that we in the U.S., more of whom want to be your ally than not, cannot make the people in charge here do their jobs and help you out.
To me, these madmen are never real citizens of their country. They are ready to inflict whatever cruelty on their country, while attempting to attain their ends.
Hitler was like that.
Stalin, Musselini and Sadam Husein were like that.
I hope some day I can visit your beautiful Ukraine πΊπ¦ and not have to use the apps and good advice. Blessings to you, Viktor, sleep well and will reStack ASAP πππ
The same. I've been praying for years for the beautiful Ukrainen people especially. the. vulnerable and children Always for the children. You all are loved Putin, like trump& Netanyahu, can't live forever.
Words are so important, yet so inadequate.. How to convey the horrors that are happening everyday and everywhereβ the majority of which are caused by the greed of investors in the weapons industry combined with the cold calculus of a small cadre of inhumane beings motivated by the lust for power, who are propped up by vast numbers of willfully ignorant Americans whose habitual laziness and selfishness has cultivated their indifference to suffering.
Americans didn't attack Ukraine, and Americans didn't give approval nor did congress for Trump's war to honor Netanyahu get approval. Check out the high disapproval ratings before you put all Americans under one umbrella, to be shamed and insulted by the world !!!
In the 2024 presidential election, 65.3% of eligible Americans voted. Although that reflects a trend showing relatively higher turnout, I would like to see a much higher percentage of citizens actually voting. The majority of people who voted for Trump ignored his calumny, his crimes, his ignorance, sexism and racism, his cozy and inexplicable relationship with Vladimir Putin, AND his stated intentions to withhold aid to Ukraine. Meanwhile, the vast majority of Americans pay little attention to current events and foreign affairs. According to Gallup polling, only 32% of Americans pay close attention to national political news, down 10 points since 2020. I taught in a university for 25 years and I understand the existence of willful ignoranceβ And the vast majority of Americans are willfully ignorant.
And yet, here we are. The American voters chose him as president not once but TWICE. Perhaps some reflection on that unmistakable truth might be worthwhile, dee. My mama always said, βyou get the government you deserveβ.
Not all Americans voted for this or the one occupying the WH. Some have a better understanding of right and wrong and what is happening to Ukraine is so very wrong.
Thanks, Pam. My husband and I have already made several donations to World Central Kitchen designated for Ukraine since Putin started his hell on earth, but I will look into these entities as well.
I so wish our country would help you as your nation works to save democracy. Many of us are also struggling to save democracy, and with an administration that is corrupt.
I see that Patricia, and I know its not easy where you are either. Our countries are different fronts but of the same global fight, and we are here exchanging strength from one another and multiplying our forces ππ
Viktor, you are so right about our countries having different fronts while being in the same global fight. I hope so much that you and the. other people in your country know that most of us here care so much, pray for you, and wish we could help. I was proud of our country when it was helping. You know what has taken place since that time. I want peace and caring everywhere.
When I watched an impeachment trial on my phone a few years ago, I learned more about your beautiful country. When I read your beautiful writing, I am touched by your heartfelt, deep descriptions and perspectives. Throughout the hardship, and the heartbreaking emotions, your beautiful soul comes through as you write to help us understand more, as you widen our perspectives, and as give us so much detail to help us feel the connection. I ache for you all and your country to be suffering any misery, and I am grateful for your sharing.
Prayers for the safety of you and others and for your country continue, and I am thankful to be able to read your writings. Thank you! I will try to remember the safety guide you shared tonight, and I took a screen shot of it. Somehow βtwo wallsβ is the part that sticks with me for now. I wish you safety always!
Thank you sharing your deep thoughts. When you share them, we read them, and they become part of us too. And for that I thank you again. Much love for you, your family, and all Ukrainians.
Thank you, Bob, it is so glad to read that, and I also thank you for your words because they become part of me too, I don't say that frequently but let me say that it is very important for me at this point. This is a manifest of hope, but also of love and life, and I am still to find the appropriate words to describe whatβs here inside ππ
I wish there was a softer way to say it, but I will not lose the hope for the day I will come here only to talk about the beautiful things of this land. Thank you for reading and for being here ππ
Viktor, I am sooo sorry! Useless sentiment, so small compared to what you are surviving. But itβs tragic what happens to our humanity just to survive. God Bless you, and Ukraine! I hope someday you can approach life with some of the innocence you used to have. Thank you for continuing to write.
It is never useless, dear Nancy. As long as we can feel and share our sentiments, they are what brings us to the most noble part of our human nature, so much that the nature of the sentiment becomes of a lesser importance. The innocence I cannot guarantee, but I definitely wont forget love while I receive words like yours here. Thank you for reading and for your attention (and your patience sometimes!)ππ
Viktor - I hope that you will find your innocence again the moment you are able to be reunited with your family and look into your childβs eyes and see it reflecting back at you.
You're on autopilot. We in the US are close behind. It shows that we're still alive but that we need to protect our internal resources to continue. I cannot imagine what you all are having to endure. Americans WANT to help. We can't control what happens right now. I'm hoping for the day to come soon that we can. The day that YOU can. With love, light and respect. πππ
Viktor, your friends are writing, it seems I am the 33rd. Dusk is rolling in here in Western Canada. I will go to sleep tonight, not for too long, but I will sleep. I am not listening for enemies, in fact my window will be open and the freah breeze will help me rest.
Your words evoke responses from within me. Injustice does that. My country is tied to Ukraine and we support you but not as much.as we should. My people should bleed with your people.
With your other friends I pray for your safety and for peace. Peace for your people and peace for you. Peace for your wife and son.
Until peace comes I join arms with your friends. We meet here to hear you and to encircle you in warm hearts. We would like you to know that we are all with you. We feel your pain and live for the day when we feel your joy restored.
This is a group of good people. I didn't read one dissenting voice. We all know that we can.read other groups where this is not so. Viktor your presence with us brings out the best in us. Until the new day when we know peace and safety, your friends are there, inside two walls, listening for your heart beat.
If I could personally save all of you, or just you, I would have you here with us. Like old age, war is not for the weak. Are any of us that strong? Following all you write, and praying for your safety and the end of the oppression of Ukraine. Slava!
This was deeply sad and moving and tragic. Iβm so terribly sorry you and all Ukrainians must endure. You didnβt ask for it. You donβt deserve it. None of the humans under current bombardment do.
As a people Ukrainians have survived so much for so long and I wonder if a certain amount of generational trauma and stress is contributing to those that remain in this constant danger are surviving on that preprogrammed nervous system from generations past?
The darkest moments come before dawn Itβs coming and you your wife will be illuminated by its brilliance! The war will never leave you but the peace will overwhelm those dark days because NOW you know life without it
Iβm not sure Iβm capable of expressing all the images and emotions your post has brought forward for me. Iβm no writer like you. Feelings of fear, numbness, exhaustion, resignation teetering on hopelessness. I wish I could help. Wish I could restore your previous life and all the other innocent people in Ukraine. We are all so tired of the greed and hate in the world. We can only search for the calming pockets of hope and love and draw strength from them. May you find infinite pockets to sustain you until this nightmare is over. π
Dear Viktor, once again, you have taught me to think in a deeper way. Sad and painful, yes, but a more complete view of what other people are dealing with.
I just looked around my home for two walls between myself and the outside. There were only 2 places that met the challenge.
Stay strong, dear one. You are shifting our world view each time you write. Thank you for that.
Ah, Viktor. What you have written is something I need to be aware of in my own future life. I pray everyday that my husband will recover from his wounds enough to be allowed to be with me, but what the fighting may have done to his nervous system is unknown. Even as he is recovering, there continues to be fighting around him. His heart and Soul are so enormous and I pray every moment that nothing changes this, but I also have to be prepared for changes. Please never stop writing to us, for this gives us hope, and it gives me hope, not only for him, but for you also. Slava Ukraini, Viktor. I pray that one day he will be able to show me his homeland. πΊπ¦ποΈβΎοΈπ»β€οΈ
Heartbreaking, Viktor. I wish so much that there was something we could do for you, for you and your people and your country.

I wanted to reply with the same words from HarrisWalz. She (he?) spoke for the rest of us. The madness in the world must end.
She. π
I agree
Our bodies keep the score. Our bodies do everything the can to keep us alive. Prayers for your safety, Viktor.

Manifest of Hope indeed. I love that phrase. Only someone who is going through what you are going through could create that phrase.
I am so sorry. So beautifully and sadly said. Heartbreaking. π
