Rescuing our little innocent victims
No one is left behind. No one will be left behind in Ukraine
AS OUR PRESIDENT ZELENSKYY SAID, "humanity means taking care not just of each other, but of all living beings." We, Ukrainians, save and protect lives. This is not associated with generosity: it's part of our nature, of our character.
Many times we forget that our pets are animals from other species, we take them as full members of our families. In fact, it's hard to find a person in Ukraine without dividing their own home with a pet. They participate actively in our lives, our residences are totally devoted to them. We understand that those little Ukrainians in paws are a source of infinite and unconditional love towards us, and they are equally corresponded by us.
They are with us no matter the challenges presented at any given moment, and this war has been no exception. Thousands and thousands of innocent animals are right now trapped in the flood after the destruction by Russia of the Kakhovka Dam and other structures of the hydroelectric power plant.
It's completely heartbreaking for us the image of these innocent living beings, recipients of so much love and feelings, being cornered by the wild waters of the reservoir exploded by those who don't have anything close to compassion in their minds.
There's nothing more absurd today than expecting a compassionate behavior from Russians.
We are mobilizing all our efforts to save every single animal that lives in the flooded region. Rescuers are under a colossal struggle, many times risking their own lives, with the objective of saving every Ukrainian that is in danger inside the zone, being them human citizens or their loved pets.
Fifteen months ago, many were touched by the photos of our dogs and cats going abroad with the Ukrainian families that sought refuge beyond our borders. Now Russian terror delivered the same challenge inside our southern regions. But we will not go anywhere without our life companions.
No one is left behind. No one will be left behind.
Our strength comes from our union.

May all the people and animals that have been victims of this trauma of flooding and other war crimes find justice for their suffering even moreso from the atrocities of the megalomaniac tsar wannabe and his attempt to impose his evil will and repression upon Ukraine πΊπ¦
