Dear Americans,
As a Ukrainian, I feel itβs necessary to share a few words about this past Tuesday. Although itβs already Thursday in Ukraine, itβs never too late to express our thoughts.
First and foremost, you need to know that we are proud of you for voting for Kamala. Proud of your hard work to elect her. Proud of those of you whose concern for Ukraine also motivated your vote and led you to do everything within your reach to prevent the possibility of Trump's victory.
Unfortunately, we know now that this possibility became reality. And with it, a new world of challenges begins.
A reality thatβs still too early to fully grasp, but one that we already know will bring hard times.
But friends, the true reality is what we carry inside us.
The real meaning of politics lies in the values we stand for. Our principles. Our ability to build the critical mass needed to press our governments to act in a thoughtful direction and halt dangerous moves toward the unknown.
Trump may have claimed victory yesterday, but he will never claim your principles. Because he knows they are incompatible with him. While he will be able to do much, he will eventually have to sit down and negotiate with people of principle like you at some point.
That is why principles are so important and necessary right now. Eventually, Trump will go, but our fundamental principles will remain.
Said everything only to affirm that you have nothing to apologize for. Instead, you should feel proud of the principles that guide your mind, heart, and soul.
Principles that, of course, include your care for Ukraine. A relation that embodies everything we hold dear in terms of civilization.
We are proud of you, friends. And we will continue to be proud of you.
Now, you are not just supporters, but partners in resistance.
Partners in resisting Vladimir Putin. For while he spreads harm on this side of the Atlantic, he will certainly be an influential agent in your domestic decisions, especially given his ties with the elected president.
Destiny has united us against the same dictator.
Not that we weren't already united, but know things are on another level.
But know that you have strong partners here: weβve been resisting for three years against an army once predicted to conquer an entire nation in three days.
You will be proud of your Ukrainian partners, just as we are immensely proud of you for voting for Kamala and trying to avoid the situation we now face.
Here we stand, and we donβt need to fear Trump or Putin.
We will fear no one as long as we are united.

As an American who voted against putin's TR45H, I appreciate your note. Ukrainians remind me of what I thought America was. Ukrainians aren't simps to Putin. Neither is the United States. It ain't over til the fat lady sings, amigo. Stay hard to kill. ππΊπΈπ½
I feel bad for America.
But they voted for it.
But for Ukraine I feel despair, I am so sad and angry and sad.
Angry over the wasted two years.
And for the blood and lives and territory lost.
Itβs Slavic anger despair because Iβm also a Slav and fuck it, we know what anger and despair is.
As will Latinos in America very very soon.
But they voted for it.
My Ukrainian cousins didnβt.
