Last night, the Kremlin in Moscow, the seat of the government of Russia and place of residence of their dictators throughout history, had been attacked by two drones and intercepted before reaching some alleged target inside the official complex. Zelenskyy categorically denied any Ukrainian participation in the action, but I'm not taking his words for granted to believe this is a false flag operation from our enemy.
A false flag movement consists of an activity that is covertly carried out to give the impression that the perpetrator's true identity and motivations are different from what they actually are, done with the intention of deceiving an observer into attributing the authorship of the act to another entity. The term originated in the 16th century to describe a naval tactic of pretending allegiance to a country by flying the enemy's flag as a trick to mislead opponents while preparing to attack.
For me, it seems highly suspicious that Russia is doing something similar as putting an Ukrainian flag into these two small drones that flew over Moscow last night to justify a possible escalation of the conflict and to communicate to their internal public they are subject to dangerous and insulting attacks from an ambitious foreign adversary. They want to build the interpretation that Ukraine is a big threat and attacking the Kremlin is a finished proof of that.
These theories are absurd from any point of view. What would be Ukraine's interest in attacking the seat of their government without establishing goals and roadmaps for that? We certainly hate Putin and we do believe he is at the center of our tragedy, but there's no indication that detonating scattered bombs in the enemy headquarters would make things turn better to our side by itself. That's not how things happen in wars.
Even in the event of killing Putin, it must be clear that eliminating the dictator does not mean that the Russian threat to Ukraine and to the world is finished. It can lead even to a worse outcome if the wrong people get the command, and we know that there is no shortage of madmen who gravitate around him.
Besides, two small drones are capable of delivering very limited bombs, especially if considered the size of the Kremlin citadel and the level of sheltering their big authorities must be subject to as the whole world hates them at this moment.
Worth thinking, also, how these UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) could get through all air defenses that are certainly placed in Russia's capital and how they managed to fly over one of the most controlled airspaces of the world. It's not impossible, but highly improbable. The chances of interception were millions to one. This would be a senseless operation from the beginning.
Frankly speaking, there's no chance that Ukraine could be the author of this enterprise. We have our share of challenges to take care of, enough towns to be rebuilt, enough people to protect, to feed, to bury and to motivate to keep going ahead in life. We just don't have time and resources to play these kinds of games.
Worse, I pray that our enemies don't use this fake operation as an excuse to increase their spread of terror in Ukraine. This is something I'm afraid of because Putin may be planning something cruel for their celebrations of May the 9th, when they remember their victory in the Second World War.
May God be with us.
Excellent analysis of how π€ Putin is probably behind the Kremlin drone explosion just like many years before he was somehow involved in the high rise explosions killing hundreds of people in his own country in order to justify invading Chechnya when there's no way they could of done that either.
Evidently the losses of Russian lives must be really adding up for him to pull this false flag operation in order to justify even more atrocities on Ukraine πΊπ¦ just like he did as prime Minister years ago in Chechnya. As long as the rest of the free world π is aware of his willingness to kill his own people just to maintain control like the megalomaniac he is.
