4,000 friends in Twitter

I couldn't be more glad. Not because the count, but the quality of people I've been meeting there.

AS ANNOUNCED YESTERDAY, In light of the challenging financial circumstances, I'll need to step back from social media at least for a while. But let me postpone this for a day because I just noticed now I have 4,000 followers in Twitter and you deserve a special expression of love and affection. 

For someone who never thought to have 40 friends in a life, 4 thousand is a real thing. Please know I am forever grateful for your understanding, compassion, and willingness to stand by my side during this hard time.

Some can say about the shallowness of online relations, I don't know if I'm privileged but I have been living exactly the opposite here. The load of emotions, tears, apprehension and empathy we've been exchanging here is definitely a signal of how strong a friendship can be.

I never cared about my follower count. I'm only careful about two things: raising awareness about Ukraine in general, and helping you to find the best inside yourself. Amidst the injustice, love, amidst destruction, hope. The most honorable elements of your existence, my dear follower. 

Even if sometimes we get to feel extreme hate from Russia. It is perfectly normal and doesn't take away our virtues. We just have to avoid focusing on this inconvenient feeling too much, instead of looking to our capacity to prevail by the force of our character and strength.

Time to go, my friends. Once more, thank you for everything. My twitter account, my blog, this substack page, and now my threads will remain an open book for everyone and forever.
